Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

The volunteer driver allocated to your journey will pick you up at the pre-arranged time and place to take you to your destination. The driver will normally wait for you at your destination and then return you home again.

The fare is paid directly to the driver and covers running costs of their vehicle plus a small surcharge to cover our adminstration costs. See weblink below for costs.

What does it Cost?

All drivers are volunteers using their own cars. The total cost of any journey is 50p per mile measured from the drivers home and back again. This is to cover the running costs of the volunteer’s car plus a small surcharge to cover the office overheads.

For short journeys there is a minimum charge of £3.00.
